Grant Award: Manful receives MEAP grant to digitize architecture archives in Ghana
Kuukuwa Manful, Ph.D., assistant professor of architecture at Taubman College, has been awarded a grant from UCLA’s Modern Endangered Archives Program (MEAP) for her project to digitize architecture archives in Ghana.

Kuukuwa Manful has won a Learning and Teaching Award at The University of Michigan for her course “History of Architecture I: The Architecture of Africa and African Diasporas”
Award: 2023 ASA Graduate Student Paper Prize
Kuukuwa Manful has won the 2023 African Studies Association Graduate Student Paper Prize for her article titled “Building Classes: Secondary Schools and Sociopolitical Stratification in Ghana”
Award: Scott Opler Graduate Student Fellowship
Kuukuwa Manful was awarded the Scott Opler Graduate Scholar Fellowship to deliver a paper at the Society of Architectural Historians' 76th Annual International Conference in in Montréal, Canada, April 12–15, 2023.
